The hospitals in the west are an administration within the Västra Götalandsregion and consist of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3000 employees work with us every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare of the highest quality.

Our Operations

The Anesthesia, Surgery, and Intensive Care area is responsible for round-the-clock care at the Operating and Intensive Care Departments at Alingsås Hospital and Kungälv Hospital, as well as the day surgery operations at Angered Local Hospital and Högsbo Local Hospital.

The management team consists of about 15 unit managers, production leaders, business developers, HR specialists, and financial controllers. Within AnOpIva, we are nearly 500 employees.

The hospitals in the west are tasked with performing approximately 18,000 planned surgical procedures and about 2,000 emergency surgeries annually. We perform surgeries in-house in orthopedics, surgery, urology, gynecology, and ENT. In collaboration with Sahlgrenska University Hospital, we also perform eye surgeries and assist dental care with anesthesia services in general anesthesia. The pre- and post-operative care is organized within the area, and AnOpIva is also responsible for all surgical coordinators.

The Intensive Care Unit in Kungälv has 8 staffed places for intensive and intermediate care patients, and in Alingsås, the corresponding number is 6 places. The ICU primarily receives patients in medical, surgical, and orthopedic intensive care.

The main focus of the operations is a flow-efficient working method with the patient at the center. Through effective use of resources and the entire team's competence, we increase accessibility and can offer good care for patients in the local area and throughout the Västra Götalandsregion.

We are now looking for an experienced and committed employee with a strong desire and engagement to contribute to the future of AnOpIva by supporting the operational needs for quality-assured data and being responsible for digital development and patient safety issues within intensive care and surgical care.

The head of AnOpIva will be your immediate supervisor, and you will be part of the management team of the operational area.

Job Responsibilities

  • Business Analysis: You will largely work with managing, structuring, and analyzing healthcare data to identify trends and patterns that can support business development within intensive care and surgical care.
  • Digitalization: You will also work on digital development within AnOpIva, including the implementation of a new patient journal system (CHA) and operational support related to BI reports.
  • Patient Safety: You will be responsible for parts of the operational area's work with patient safety, such as method support in deviation management and implementation of patient safety tools.

You are expected to work largely independently but also in collaboration with the operational area's production leaders for surgery, as well as unit managers and employees throughout the organization, in order to develop the operations with a focus on future needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree, for example, in economics, logistics, or healthcare. It is an advantage if you have previous experience working with data related to healthcare. You possess good knowledge of and are accustomed to handling all functions in Office 365. It is beneficial if you have knowledge of or experience in working with quality-driven business development.

You are goal- and results-oriented, take responsibility, and are used to working independently. You have a well-developed analytical ability. You are also engaged, accessible, and good at communicating.

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Location

Alingsås, or alternatively another location within the Hospitals in the West.

Other

Selection and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
